How to enable telnet on EchoLife DN8245V-56 Home Gateway

Hello there,


Sorry for not posting in Chinese as I can only speak English


My ISP TEDATA Egypt provided me with EchoLife DN8245V-56 Home Gateway
The problem is everything is locked with custom cfg files and features disabled


This is my router info




I want to be able to use Telnet for further access and to mod it as preferred
I was able to download hw_ctree.xml and decrypt it

After many days, I figured out how to encrypt the hw_ctree.xml again and I was able to to upload this modified hw_ctree.xml successfully
The modded file persists after rebooting and checked by downloading configuration file and decrypting again


The problem is telnet still doesn't work
and port checking shows ports 23,22 are not open


Do I need to do anything else?
I tried enable telnet v5 via Huawei ONT Tools v2 and it shows failure, however it sees my router

How can I make bin file to flash a mod via Huawei ONT Tools v2?

I used the default settings for ONT TOOL 2.0 using V5





I checked the ports using nmap and only 80,443,53 were open even when I changed the hw_ctree.xml

I now tried with Huawei ONT Tools 218

and same result






I think this tool only works with Fiber Optics modems only
This modem is VDSL
